MCC to welcome Mark Harmsen as Vice President of Finance and Administration

Mark HarmsenMcLennan Community College is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Harmsen as the next Vice President of Finance and Administration. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in operational management and administration, financial management and budgeting, strategic planning and facilities construction, human resources management, relationship building, regulatory and policy compliance, quality and process improvement, and cultural diversity.

Harmsen comes to MCC from Central Texas College (CTC) in Killeen, where he has served as the Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration since August 2023. Prior to his appointment as Vice Chancellor, he served CTC as the Associate Deputy Chancellor of Facilities and Construction for 12 years. Previously, Harmsen worked in health care administration as the Assistant Administrator of Support Services for Kaiser Permanente Fresno Medical Center and as Vice President and Assistant Vice President of Support Services and Fellow/Resident for Baylor-Scott & White Medical-Center in Waco.

Harmsen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University and a Master of Health Care Administration from Trinity University.
